The flag of the United Arab Emirate,was adopted on December 2, 1971. It contains the Pan-Arab colors red, green, white, and black, Which symbolize Arabian unity. Merchant ships may fly the alternative civil ensign, a red flag with the national flag in the canton.

Bendera Uni Emirat Arab diperkenalkan pada 2 Desember 1971.Bendera ini berdasarkan bendera pemberontakan Arab yang diciptaka pada tahun 1916 dan dikibarkan oleh pendukung nasionalisme Arab semasa pemberontakan untk kebebasan dari pemerintahan Turki Ottoman. Merah, putih, hijau, dan hitam digelar warna seluruh bangsa Arab(pan-Arab colours) dan menurut sejarah telah dikaitkan dengan bangsa Arab dan islam untuk beberpa abad. Warna-warna tersebut melambangkan kesatuan dan kemerdekaan orang Arab dan dapat ditemui di bendera-bendera negara Timur Tengah yang lain.

Red

Red represents hardiness, bravery, strength and courage. The vertical red band can also be interpreted as binding all the other meanings together in unity.

Green

Green represents hope, joy, optimism and love. It can also symbolise the country’s prosperity.

White

White represents peace and honesty. White is the purest colour, and is interpreted by some to symbolise cleanliness.

Black

Contrary to popular belief, the black band does not represent oil. It stands for the defeat of enemies, and also strength of mind.

Merah

Red mewakili tahan banting, keberanian, kekuatan dan keberanian. Band merah vertikal juga dapat diartikan sebagai mengikat semua arti lain bersama-sama dalam kesatuan.

Hijau
